Mr. Willie Floyd Cobb, 89, of Hawkinsville, Georgia, peacefully passed away on April 24, 2026, at Pinewood Manor Nursing Home. Born on July 25, 1936, in Dodge County, Georgia, to the late Willie Uria Cobb and Viola Daniels Cobb, Floyd lived a life marked by dedication, service, and love.
A proud United States Army veteran, Floyd’s commitment to his community was exemplified through his many years with the Pulaski County Fire Department, which he joined in February 1971. In addition to his public service, he was a Christian and a member of the Baptist faith. Floyd was also a hardworking entrepreneur, having founded Floyd Cobb Towing Service in 1969, where he served his community with care and diligence until his retirement.
Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Cobb and Viola Daniels Cobb; sisters, Lois C. Watkins and Merle C. Stephens, and brothers Alvin Cobb and Watson Cobb. He is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Tracey Cobb and Leigh Ann Evans (John Haynes); brothers Leon Cobb and Therell Cobb; sisters Dora C. Watson and Kema C. Sheffield; brother-in-law James Stephens; grandchildren Britney (Chris) Fennell and Brandon (Dyanna) Evans; and great-grandchildren Thomas Evans, Bowen Evans, and an expected great-grandchild due in October of 2026.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2026, from 1 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. at the chapel of Clark Funeral Home, followed by funeral services at 3 p.m., officiated by Mr. Robert Lancaster and Mr. Robert Herman. Floyd will be laid to rest at Harrell Cemetery in Midway, with pallbearers being proud members of the Pulaski County Fire Department, honoring his lifelong service.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have supported them during this time. Floyd’s legacy of service, faith, and love will continue to inspire those who knew him. Arrangements are entrusted to Clark Funeral Home.
