William Edward Bentley, age 69 of Pineview, Georgia died on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia. Funeral services will be held at 2p.m on Monday, August 13, 2018 in the chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Rev. Hicks Brown and Rev. James Alexander officiating. Visitation will be held at Clark Funeral Home from 6p.m. to 8p.m. on Sunday, August 12, 2018. Burial will be held following the service at Bentley Cemetery.
Mr. Bentley was born on November 25, 1948 in Camilla, Georgia.He was a United States Army Veteran and served in the Vietnam War. William was a member of the Baptist faith and a retired maintenance mechanic having worked for Perdue. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Katie Bentley and his brother, Earl "Bubba" Bentley.
Those left to forever cherish his memory include his wife, Diane Bentley of Cordele, Georgia; sons, Jody (Kelly) Bentley of Fort Valley, Georgia and William Jason Bentley of Cordele, Georgia; brothers, Lindsey (Barbara) Bentley of Hawkinsville, Georgia, Luke Bentley of Hawkinsville, Georgia, Billy (Faye) Bentley of Hawkinsville, Georgia, Bobby Bentley of St. Petersburg, Florida and John (Judy) Bentley of Hawkinsville, Georgia; sister, Carolyn Young of St. Petersburg, Florida. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Richard Hayes, Elizabeth Marie Bentley, James Tyler Bentley and Amber Bentley.
