Rodney Lee Marsh, 58, of Hawkinsville, passed away on February 18, 2026. He was born on March 8, 1967. The family will visit with friends at Clark Funeral Home on Friday, February 20, 2026 from 12pm to 1pm. The funeral service will begin at 1pm following the visitation at Clark Funeral Home. Burial will be in the family plot at Simmons Cemetery in Bleckley County.
Rodney was a true fighter. Throughout his life, he courageously battled Parkinson’s disease with strength and determination. Though the disease challenged him, it never defined him. His stubborn spirit, sharp sense of humor, and love for storytelling carried him through life and left lasting impressions on everyone who knew him.
He loved cheering on his favorite teams – the Dallas Cowboys, Georgia Bulldogs, and the Atlanta Braves. Game days were serious business for Rodney. He also had a deep love for rock music and could often be found singing along to his favorite songs. One of his greatest companions was his beloved dog, Rusty, who brought him comfort and joy.
Rodney is survived by his sister, Cathy Collins; his brother, Kelly Marsh (Mandy); his nieces, Melissa Marsh, Alanna Jenson (Steven), Harley Herrington (Wil), and Hannah Marsh; his nephew, Wesley Moss and Austin Kittrell; his great-nieces, Christa Cain (Warren), Caylee, Rosa, Everly, and Stevie; his great-nephews, Charlie and Christopher; and his great-great-nephew Ezra.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lorene English; his stepfather, Bobby English; his father, Charles Marsh; and his brother, Chuck Marsh.
Rodney will be remembered for his resilience, his laughter, his stories, and the way he fought every battle placed before him. Though he is no longer with us, the memories he created and the love he shared will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
