Pineview

Robert Earl Lee, 82, of Pineview, GA, passed away on July 27, 2025, after a long battle  with kidney failure. A service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour before the service at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Cordele, GA. Father Paulinus Okpala will officiate. Private burial will be in the Pineview City Cemetery, Pineview, GA. Pallbearers will be Caleb Lee, Jared Lee, Glenn Pitcairn, Michael Selby, Hunter Burgamy and Noah Burgamy.      

Robert was born on March 8, 1943, to Raymond Eugene Lee and Gertrude Cook Lee in Wilcox Co, GA. He graduated from Pineview High School and Georgia College. He retired from the US Forest Service as the Supervisory Contract Specialist for the Southeast Research Lab. Robert served in the US Army and was an Air Force reservist with 22 years’ service. He loved his farm and was an avid gardener who could grow any fruit or vegetable imaginable. He insisted on giving his produce to anyone who would take it.

He is survived by his son, Eric Lee (Paula), his daughter, Rosemary Selby (Michael), a stepdaughter, Tammy Burrows (Stacy), nine grandchildren, Caleb Lee (Christie), Rachel Lee Pitcairn (Glenn), Jared Lee, Naomi Lee (fiance Nate Detemple), Hunter Burgamy, Noah Burgamy, Justin Selby (Brooke), Lauren DeBerry (John) and Michael Selby (Jill) and seven Great grandchildren, Hallie Lee, Emmett Lee, Hart Selby, Levi Selby, Rowen DeBerry, Juliet Selby and Liam Selby. He is also survived by eight siblings, Mary Nan Lee Overstreet, Jimmy Lee, Jean Ann Lee Gregory, Libby Lee McAvoy, Edwin Lee (Memory), Wayne Lee (Moody), Mike Lee (Karen), and Karen Lee Lewis.

For the last four years, Robert lived at Tennille Retirement Home in Tennille, GA. He dearly loved his TRH family and his friends from the Sandersville Dialysis Center. He was especially thankful for Ms. Cyndy, Ms. Karen, Ms. Mary and all the staff at TRH.
