Robert Lawton English

Robert Lawton English, age 81, of Hawkinsville, Georgia passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at Kingsford Place in Hawkinsville. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at 11 am in the chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Dr. Don McClung officiating. The family will greet friends from 10 am to 11 am prior to the service at Clark Funeral Home. Burial will be at Simmons Cemetery in Bleckley County.

Mr. English was born on February 26, 1943 in Hawkinsville, Georgia to the late Ben and Bernice English. Bobby was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hawkinsville. He was formerly employed by Continental Can and Lithonia Lighting. Bobby was a member of the Office Club in Hartford. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene English; son, Chuck Albert Marsh; brother, David Harry English and his sister, Bernice Virginia “Jenny” English (Raymond C.) Hardin.

Those left to forever cherish his memory include his sons, Kelly Lewis Marsh and Rodney Lee Marsh; daughter, Cathy Marsh Collins; nieces, Wanda Hardin Lynn and Laura Hardin Crosby. He is also survived by six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
