Richard Thomas Jernigan

Mr. Jernigan was born on November 23, 1956 in Portsmouth, Virginia to Delbert and Grace Jernigan. Richard spent 24 years in Hawkinsville and worked as the store manager at Farmers Furniture before moving to Forsyth, where he spent the last 10 years of his life. He was a member of Westview Baptist Church in Hawkinsville and was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Grace Jernigan and his sister in law, Martha Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Montine W. Jernigan of Forsyth, Georgia; daughter, Olivia Sara Jernigan of Forsyth, Georgia; brothers, Paul (Candice) Jernigan of Tallahassee, Florida, Carl (Janet) Jernigan of Alachua, Florida and Robert Jernigan of Alachua, Florida; sister, Nancy Jernigan of Tampa, Florida; brother in law, Billy Wilson, Jr. of Hawkinsville, Georgia. The family requests that donation be made to the Ocular Melanoma Foundation, 1717 K St. NW, Suite 900, Washington, DC 20006.
