Paul Wesley Black

Mr. Paul Wesley Black, 87, of Hawkinsville, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2023 at Phoebe Putney Hospital in Albany, Georgia.  Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 12, 2023 at Broad Street Baptist Church with Rev. Blake Westbrook, Rev. Tracy Mays and Rev. Jeff Waters officiating.  Burial will be in Orange Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Black was a native of Pulaski County, Georgia and a member of Broad Street Baptist Church.  He was a graduate of Pulaski High School.  He was retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base.  Paul was the director of the Christian Life Center Ministry.  He loved cars and  was especially a people lover.  Mr. Black was preceded in death by his parents, J. R. and Vanette Howard Black and sister Hazel Laidler.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Black of Hawkinsville, Ga.; daughter, Paula (Allen) Sampson of Hawkinsville, Ga.; brother, Russell Conner; sister, Dell Brackett of Macon, Georgia; several nieces and nephews; 2 grandchildren, Miranda (Stephen) Kelly, Samantha Sampson and 1 great-grandchild, Stetson Kelly.

Flowers will be accepted or donations to Broad Street Baptist Church.

Clark Funeral Home of Hawkinsville, Georgia is in charge of the arrangements.
