Mrs. Mildred Lucille Hewitt Woods, age 98 of Macon, Georgia died on January 16, 2019 at Pine Point Hospice in Macon, Georgia. Graveside services will be held at 11a.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Orange Hill Cemetery in Hawkinsville, Georgia with Rev. Neal Wall officiating.
Mrs. Woods was born on December 13, 1920 to the late Jack and Lora Dean Hewitt in Dooly County Georgia. She was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church in Macon, Georgia and was retired from the Bibb County School System where she worked in the nutrition department. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Edward Woods.
Those left to forever cherish her memory include her son, Jack (Anne) Woods of Macon, Georgia; daughter, Carmen (Gary) Bell of Dothan, Alabama; grandchildren, Chris (Donna) Woods of Macon, Georgia, Mark (Maggie) Woods of Cleveland, Tennessee, John (Sarah) Woods of Gainesville, Georgia, Tonya (Jonathan) Hilliard of Lenoir, North Carolina and Stephen (Michelle) Bell of Garner, North Carolina. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Pine Point Hospice, 6261 Peake Rd., Macon, Georgia 31210.
