Louise Carter, 81, of Hawkinsville, Ga. died Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at Taylor Regional Hospital.Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 26, 2009 in Haynesville Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. David Fisher officiating.
Mrs. Carter was a native of Houston County, Ga. and a member of the Baptist Faith. She was a homemaker.Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene M. Carter; son, James W. Carter; grandson, Johnny Lee Prather; brother, James R. McDowell; sister, Pauline McDowell; mother and father, Walter Clark and Henrietta McDowell.
Survivors include her son, Thomas Clark Carter of Elko, Ga.; daughters, Erma Jean Prather (George), Hawkinsville, Ga., Lisa Louise Carter of Hawkinsville, Ga.; sisters, Dolly Streetman (P. T.); brothers, Walter McDowell (Jackie) of Elko, Ga., Willie Ed McDowell (Mary Ann) of Elko, Ga., J. W. McDowell (Dianne) of Elko, Ga.; sister-in-law, Marilyn McDowell; 2 grandsons; several nieces and nephews.
Clark Funeral Home of Hawkinsville, Ga. is in charge of the arrangements.
