Lolette Powell Gatlin

Lolette Powell Gatlin, age 83 of Russellville, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at Creekwood Nursing and Rehab. She was born in Fort Benning, Georgia on July 12, 1942 to the late Ernest Powell and Cleo Crenshaw Powell. She taught 5 and 6 grade Science for the Russellville Independent School. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree at the Women’s College in Georgia and her Masters degree at WKU. She was a member of the United Methodist Temple where she taught Youth Sunday School and was active in the UMW. She enjoyed her Bridge Club. She is survived by:

3 Grandchildren ~ Claire Ashley Wilson, Chloe Morgan Watkinsand Brittany Lynn Watkins

Funeral Services for Lolette Powell Gatlin will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 26, 2025 at the United Methodist Temple with Rev. Michael Nichols and Rev. Michael Romanswith burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation at the church on Friday will be held from 11:00 am until the service hour of 2:00 pm. Summers and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
