Kenneth Grady Hollis

May 2, 1942 — January 27, 2023

Mr. Kenneth Grady Hollis, age 80, of Hawkinsville, Georgia passed away on Friday, January 27, 2023 at his residence. There will be a celebration of life on March 5, 2023 at Crossroads Church located 2564 GA-154 in Newnan, Georgia from 2 – 4 pm.   In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Ken’s memory to Crossroads Church for their mission fund or Spectrum Ministries.

Kenneth was born in Irondale, Alabama on May 2, 1942 to the late Grady and Kathleen Hollis. He was a member of the Cochran First Baptist Church. Mr. Hollis was a former owner of Rock Services in Covington, Georgia and a member of the Georgia Construction Aggregate Association. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50, Linda Goolsby Hollis and his daughter, Leigh Anne Moss.

Kenneth was a Christian and shared his faith with anyone that would listen to him.  He served on many church boards and committees, served on mission trips, taught Sunday school, and preached sermons for God’s Kingdom. He always loved learning new things and became a self-taught engineer.  He studied Hebrew, briefly served in the Air Force, and even got his private pilot’s license.  He especially loved the jail ministry and led several people to Christ.  He was able to travel to many places in the last 10 years and enjoyed concerts and going to the beach. Most of all, he loved his family.

Those left to forever cherish his memory include his son, Clay (Fran) Hollis of Newnan, Georgia; daughter, Cathy (Mike) Cason of Lawrenceville, Georgia; brother, Douglas (Jerrell) Hollis; sisters Faye Estes and Rita Pauls. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Clark Funeral Home of Hawkinsville, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
