Jimmy E. Rouse

Mr. Jimmy Erastus Rouse, 88, of Cobb, Georgia passed away Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 22, 2025 at Lake Blackshear Baptist Church, 650 Coney Road South in Cordele, Georgia with Rev. Phil Streetman officiating. Burial will be in the Georgia Veterans Cemetery in Milledgeville, Ga.

Mr. Rouse was a native of Pulaski County, Georgia and a member of the Baptist faith. He was a Marine Veteran and a retired ATF employee of the State of Georgia. He loved to fish and golf, but especially loved spending time with family and friends. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Rastus and Nan Mullis Rouse, seven sisters and one brother.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Mathis Rouse; son, Mike Rouse (Mary Kirby Rouse); daughters, Janet Rouse Corbitt (Rickey Corbitt), Patty Rouse (Denise Palmer); six grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Flowers may be sent to the Rouse residence at 130 A, Rouse Lane, Cobb, Ga. 31735. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lake Blackshear Baptist Church at 650 South Coney Road, Cordele, Ga. 31015 or to the Gideons in Jimmy Rouse’s name.

The service will be live streamed through Lake Blackshear Baptist Church’s website and their facebook page.
