James Adam Bass Sanford

James “Duke” Sanford, age 43, of Hawkinsville, Georgia passed away Saturday, July 12, 2025 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 17, 2025 in the chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Rev. Steve McKuhen officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. before the service begins. Burial will be in the Parkway Memorial Gardens in Warner Robins, Georgia.

Duke was a native of Bibb County, Georgia and a member of the Baptist faith. He was a Registered Nurse. Duke loved hunting, Alabama football and the Atlanta Braves. He was preceded in death by his brother, Wade Cooper.

Survivors include his father, Ronald Mike Sanford (Vickie); mother, Judy Jimenez; son, Tucker Reed Sanford age 11; daughter, Mallory Addison Sanford, age 20; brother, Scott E. Cawthon; sisters, Roni Lindsey (Robert), Pagan Daniels (Casey); nieces and nephews, Sidney Shorter, Tripp Traxler, Keaton Hoyt and Sutton Hoyt.
