George Paul Mathis, Jr., 59, of Hawkinsville, Ga. diedMay 24, 2010 at his residence.Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 27, 2010 in the chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Rev. Stewart Allen-Clark officiating.Burial will be private.
Mr. Mathis was a native of Mobile, Ala. and a member of the Christian faith.He was a school psychologist in the Pulaski and Houston County school systems. He was a member of the Rivers Alive and Coastal Conservation Association.Paul also enjoyed cooking for the FFA.
Survivors include his daughter, Heather Mathis (Daniel) Heldreth of Pooler, Ga.; son, Paul Mathis of Statesboro, Ga.; parents, George and Doris Mathis of Warner Robins, Ga. and brother, Mark (Kay) Mathis of Shellmans Bluff, Ga.
The family will receive friends at the residence of Tony and Karen Portivent: Thomas Road, Blackshear Trail, Hawkinsville, Ga.
Clark Funeral Home of Hawkinsville, Ga. is in charge ofarrangements.
