George Benjamin Carroll

Mr. George Benjamin Carroll, age 75, of Hawkinsville, Georgia passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.  A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 7, 2023 in Orange Hill Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Thomas officiating.

Mr. Carroll was a native of Pulaski County, Georgia and a member of Broad Street Baptist Church.  He was a retired policeman having worked at Middle Georgia College.  Ben loved riding 4 wheelers, camping and the mountains.  He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Rheba Scarbrough Carroll and grandson, Benjamin Phyllip Floyd.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Proffitt; daughters, Shannon Easterling (Guy), Angi Floyd (Jamie), beloved pet, Sassy Frass Carroll; grandchild, Samantha Morgan (Dustin) and great-grandchild, Charlie Marie Howell.

Clark Funeral Home of Hawkinsville, Ga. is in charge of the arrangements.
