Mr. Edwin P. Reddick, age 78, passed away on July 4, 2025, at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia. A celebration of his life will take place on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Clark Funeral Home, with Rev. Blake Westbrook officiating. Prior to the service, family and friends are invited to visit from 2:00 p.m. to 3:50 p.m.
Born on August 28, 1946, Ed was a native of Sylvania, Georgia. He was a proud veteran, having served in both the Air Force and the Army Reserve. Ed dedicated many years of his life to nursing, contributing to the health and well-being of others at Taylor Regional Hospital before his retirement.
A member of Oaks Community Church, Ed found joy in life through his passions, which included supporting the Georgia Bulldogs, cheering for the Atlanta Braves, solving crossword puzzles, reading, and working in his yard. He will be fondly remembered for his kind spirit and loving nature.
Ed was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Cheryl Faye Scott Reddick, as well as his parents, Carey and Frances Bazemore Reddick; his brother, Glenn Reddick; and his "sister", Patsy Brazell.
He leaves behind a cherished family that includes his son, Edwin Mathew Reddick (Jennifer); his daughter, Shawn Reddick Bryant (Mark); along with his brother, Larry Brazell; sister, Karen Zeigler; brother-in-law, Bernard Scott; sister-in-law, Johnnie Reddick; and sister, "Shirley Liggett". Ed takes with him the love of three grandchildren, Ethan and Ashlyn Reddick, and Austin Bryant.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Oaks Community Church Building Fund at 503 N Depot St., Pineview, GA 31071.
