Edith Romona Rucker Dixon

Mrs. Edith Romona Rucker Dixon, age 94, passed away Monday, April 15, 2024 at Glenn Eagle Nursing Home in Abbeville, Georgia.  A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 20, 2024 in Orange Hill Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Waters officiating.

Mrs. Dixon was a native of Pulaski County, Georgia and a member of Broad Street Baptist Church.  Edith was a retired beautician.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Luke and Ruby English Rucker; husband, James Robert Dixon, Sr.; son, William Terry Dixon; brother, Alvin Rucker; 2 sisters, Merle Rackley and Ruth Burnette.

Survivors include her son, James R. Dixon, Jr.; sister, Betty Jean Ford; grandson, James R. Dixon, III (Shauna); great grandchildren, William Dixon and Kaitly Dixon.
