Bobby Mullis, 77, of Eastman, Ga. died Monday, February 15, 2010 in Southern Pines Retirement Villa of Hawkinsville.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 17, 2010 in the chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Morrison and Rev. Billy Vaughn officiating.Burial will be in Cobb Cemetery in Dodge County, Ga.
Mr. Mullis was a native of Bibb County, Ga. and lived his life in Dodge County.He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Lillie Coleman Mullis and his sister, Mary Jane ( Perry) Hargrove.As a young man, he played 3rd base for the Eastman Weavers Baseball Team.He proudly served in the army during the Korean War.Bobby was employed at RAFB where he worked on F-15's and thoroughly enjoyed it.After retirement from civil service, he worked at Eldercare Pharmacy.He was a deacon at Midway Baptist Church and a proud member of VFW Post 6077.Before his illness slowed him down, he enjoyed serving his Lord, being with his children and grandchildren and gardening.
Survivors include his children, Stuart Mullis, Roger (Christy) Mullis, Jennifer (Rick) Gale, Julia (Mike) Williamson and Sonya (Scott) Evans; Grandchildren, Thomas, Seth and Elizabeth Evans, Ethan and Emily Williamson, Patricia and Patrick Mullis, Carson and Colton McKinney.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home.
