Billie Laidler Hayes

Mrs. Billie Laidler Hayes, 81, of Hawkinsville, Georgia passed away Thursday, August 27, 2026 at her residence. A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2026 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Clark Funeral Home chapel. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 31, 2026 in the chapel of Clark Funeral Home. Burial will be in the family plot at Orange Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Hayes was a native of Pulaski County, Georgia and a member of the Hartford Baptist Church. She was retired from civil service after 25 years at Robins Air Force Base. She also retired after 27 years serving as the Director of the Pulaski County Senior Center. Billie loved doing puzzles, driving through the countryside and researching Pulaski County and Hawkinsville, Ga. She especially enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garfield Hayes, Sr.; parents, William and Beulah Wiggins Laidler; sister, Beulah McLeod and brother, James Laidler.

Survivors include her sons, Garfield Hayes, Jr. of Hawkinsville, Ga., Tony Hayes (Paula) of Dublin, Ga., Bill Hayes (Angel) of Augusta, Ga.; daughter, Nicole Hayes Register (Michael) of Warner Robins, Ga.; sister, Mary Duggan; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren
