Betty Sue Rogers Brown passed away peacefully on March 28, 2026, at Pinewood Manor in Hawkinsville, Georgia, surrounded by her family. Born on March 4, 1936 in Dodge County, Betty’s life was marked by dedication to her work, her church, and her family.
A graduate of Dodge County High School, Betty Sue devoted many years to her career at M&M Drug Co. and in the business office of Taylor Regional Hospital in Hawkinsville. Her professional tenure reflected her strong work ethic and commitment to serving her community.
Betty Sue was a cherished member of Midway Baptist Church, where her faith played an integral role throughout her life. Beyond her professional and spiritual commitments, she had a profound love for gardening and sewing, often creating her own clothes. She also found joy camping in the mountains and treasured the time spent with her family.
She is survived by her sons, William Tharin (Karen Sue) Brown, Charles Dennis Brown, and Jeffery Wayne Brown; her sisters, Joyce Jones and Mary Frances Wilson; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews who held her in great affection.
Betty Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Young and Mary Belle Smith Rogers; her beloved husband, William Daniel Brown; her grandchild, Chad Purser; and two sisters.
Visitation will be held on March 30, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home located at 142 Commerce Street, Hawkinsville, GA 31036. Funeral services will be held on March 31, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Midway Baptist Church, 44 Lightered Knot Road, Eastman, GA 31023. Burial will take place following the service at Brown Cemetery, 2356 Lower River Road, Hawkinsville, GA 31036.
Betty Sue's legacy of love, devotion, and service will remain a beacon to all who knew her. Her memory will be cherished by family, friends, and the community she faithfully served.
