Amanda Fain Griffin, 88, of Kibbee Street, Hawkinsville, Ga. died Saturday, November 14, 2009 after a brief illness.Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 16, 2009 at First United Methodist Church in Hawkinsville.The Rev. Dr. Marcus V. Tripp and Rev. John A. Walker will officiate.Burial will be at Pulaski-Bleckley Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Griffin, "Mandy" was born in Early County, Georgia and spent her childhood in Donalsonville, Georgia.She was a long time resident of Hawkinsville and an active member of First United Methodist Church.Mandy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ben Henry Griffin.

Left to cherish her memory are one daughter, Caron Griffin Morgan (Steve) of Dunwoody; two sons, Ben H. Griffin, Jr. (Pam) and Grady F. Griffin (Vicky), both of Hawkinsville; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, Aiden Mathew Griffin and Ben H. Rigg.

Pallbearers are her grandchildren, Amanda Griffin Rigg, James Earl Carter, IV, Robert Mitchell Griffin, Kathryn Morgan, David Benjamin Griffin and Grady Fain Griffin, Jr.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the First United Methodist Church.

Clark Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
